I disagree with the cornstarch and vinegar approach. Vinegar that close to your eye seems like a bad idea. How about using hot compresses. Just soak a washcloth in really hot water, wring it out, then apply to the eyelid. Alternate five minutes on, then five minutes off.Anyone know how to remove whiteheads (safely) from eyelid?

I Have Tiny Little Bumps/Whiteheads On My Forehead?

it has been clinically proven that you cannot drink 8-10 glasses of water a day, that it could lead to water on the brain, and you will die (that is, of course, if you are not sweating it out by doing lots of physical activity). so do not listen to the first answerer. i do believe, however, that drinking a maximum of FIVE glasses of water (or any other beverage since the majority are water based) will help with your skin. your skin sounds as though it is dry, so you should try moisturizing before you put on your make up, and after removign your make up before bed. Or perhaps you have exima, in which case see your doctor who perscribe a steroid cream called hydrocortizone which works wonders.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do not pop them with your fingers, it just makes them worse. But if you do need to get rid of them, get a damp hot towel, and a sterilized sharp object, and prick it, then squeeze.
I have them and had a facial and she said that they are like pimples that the skin grows over like a mini-scar. She called them something I can't remember, but she said to do a gentle ex foliation about once a week. Hope this helps.

well blackheads are caused by surface dirt and whiteheads are formed underneatch the skin, so they need to be treated differently. blackheads you usually can eliminate by using a scrub or peel. however whiteheads need to be ready before you extract them, they need to be, well white...to make sure you they are ready tho you might take a steaming hot towel and put it on the whitehead area, or you can mix a little water with a little baking soda to make a paste and put it on...it will help to pull the whitehead to the surface. it will help if you make sure you are hydrated as well and maybe use a spot treatment on the affected area.
I have the same problem exept for the pimple. Use clearasol ultra . Go to walmart and it is like $4
read this in a magazine loooong time ago, lol, toothpaste for pimples......some people say it doesn't work but it always worked for me and my sister and a couple of our friends.....you just put a teeny tiny bit on the pimple and leave it for like an hour then wash your face

A french ';green'; clay mask works very well also. It removes impurities from deep within and your acne may get worse before it gets better using the french clay. You should try an organic cleanser. (You can get them at a health food store.) I use a herbal astringent recipe from ';The herbal body book'; by Stephanie Tourles which you can get cheap on half.com. Works really good and is so soothing. Use a oil free moisturizer or emu oil (http://www.daybreaklavenderfarm.com/stor鈥?/a> at night on your face, neck and chest. (Emu oil doesn't clog pores and won't cause more acne. Promise!! I use it) Try taking vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 vitamin %26amp; Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!

Nivea Beauty Perfect Cover Precision Concealer works great. If you're applying it, splash your face with water and then dry lightly with a towel so there's only a very slight bit of moisture on your skin. Then twist the nozzle twice until you see the liquid coming out. Spread out with the brush (it's like a small brush stick and the liquid comes out on to it), and then use your finger to rub it in. Once it looks relatively OK, go in closer to the mirror and rub it in a bit more. Then use a tissue lightly and take off the excess concealer.
Also to note, the stick lasts a long time unless you twist it too much! Hope you get on OK.

I went to a facialist and she used a small sharp pin looking tool and got them out of my face. Unfortunately, some states don't allow facialists to do this, as it pierces the skin.

I notice that even though i use products designed for my dry/ sensitive skin, i still get small whiteheads on my nose and on my cheeks. When I was in high school, I was put on a course of antibiotics to help with mine, and it really helped. There's no super quick way, but get a good facewash.
Don't touch your face, just wash it atleast 3 times a day, once with soap at the end of the day before bed, but only water the first two because too much can dry it out.
Use the wash in the shower, and try a fast acting acne cream, I recommend Neutrogena.

Here is how I handle this, I have mostly oily skin and only use a very little foundation makeup, or none usually, : At the end of the day, I use a clean cotton ball moistened with astringent.Wiping upward on face and neck to clean out pores, then rinsing with warm water.The cotton will take away everything that should not be left on the skin and also is a gentle ex foliation. I then use a dab or two of Clearasil 4 hour rapid action treatment cream blending into problem areas, or on a bump if I get one. Then follow with a light non oily moisturizer or a little clear glycerin on face and neck to prevent too much dryness. In the morning, I repeat the same treatment.* This Clearasil cream is not just one of the usual ones from Clearasil, but a new kind from that same company. It really does work because it prevents most of my problem bumps that I used to get, and on the one that was more recent, it totally went away without getting worse. This cream is in a box, but it is a 1 oz. tube and says ';4 hours'; on it meaning that there will be a noticeable change on your skin within 4 hours. Wal-mart sells a generic version of Pro-Active, and from what I understand you can now buy Pro-Active in some stores (like Wal-greens and Wal Mart). I have very oily skin as well and I've been using the generic stuff (when I started using it, it was $17 compared to $54. Now Pro-Active sells for like $19.) My acne has completely disappeared and my face doesn't get that sheen after a few hours anymore. I would highly recommend that stuff. The generic from Wal Mart is called ACNE FREE.
It's a 4 step process. Wash your face, use the toner, then use their moisturizer. But then, after that you use your own moisturizer (I use vitamin E cream). You would think that the double amounts of moisturizer would make your skin oily, but the Acne Free moisturizer is actually a time released benzoyl peroxide, so it continues to release this and remove the oil. Without the extra moisturizer, your face will dry out and begin to peal.

Whiteheads!! How can I get rid of them?
I have lots of tiny whiteheads on my nose...they are soooo disgusting! The little whiteheads are very deep under the skin on my nose, you can't actually feel the little bumps but you can see the tiny white dots showing through the skin...it's hidious...the only way i get get rid of them is by breaking the skin with a fine needle and squeezing them out. The products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.

And then 3-4 day s a week I use Biore purging pore cream scrub. For body acne I use Neutrogena acne body wash I never break out on my body. It gets 110 in summer so sweat in inevitably, yet I never break out. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! neutragina (how ever you spell it) has some great products available at your local super market for cheap, and they last a long time.
your makeup may also clog your pores and cause pimples. if you wear makeup wash your makeup off before you go to bed (with facial cleanser). and don't use OLD makeup (like 2-3 year old makeup). its not good anymore.
ALSO: change your pillow cases often (every week at least). dirt from your skin and dead skin cells will get into pores. AND when you rest your head on your hands, rest your head on the BACK of your hands, your palms have dirt and alot of oil on them.

First, use peroxide, hand sanitizer or the disinfectant you get when you get your ears pierced (they all work:P) and sanatize your hands and whereever the whiteheads are on your face. When the stinging stops, gently pop them until att the white gunk comes out, either until you see plasma or you can tell it's going to bleed. Then put a small dab or regular toothpaste on it (it's best if it's not the gel kind) and leave it on over night. squeeze to get fid of the puss (the white bit), squeeze till you get blood out then after it had stopped bleeding dab on a tiny bit of perfume (alcohol based), it will sting a bit but the spot will me nice and dry by morning

Hey I have a few whiteheads, I'm starting to steam my face and use exfoliation...should I be using a good moisturizer as well? Or will that have a bad effect? As there is some good oil free moisturizer in the draw. Any other tips are welcome, cheers.Help with Whiteheads
well what i do is use an asprin mask. it is simply a mask that is made with water, asprin (none coated, if it is coated it will be hard to break up) and honey. what i do is take six asprin tablets and wet them with water n crush them up, then i add enough honey till it turns into a paste. then rub it on ur face in circles and leave it on for about 20 minutes. do it like every other day and your skin will be flawless and soft! :) ( but make sure you dont do it everyday! that would be too much)Help with Whiteheads

Can a Steam Room cause my face to break-out (Whiteheads)?
I hardly ever get pimples or whiteheads, but yesterday for the first time I went into a steam room and stayed for about 6 minutes. This morning when I woke up I notice two huge whiteheads on my face. I haven't broken out with a whitehead in months. Could the steam room have caused this to happen?Can a Steam Room cause my face to break-out (Whiteheads)?
Ill skip the scientific part of the question and tell you that if you didnt take a shower about 10 minutes after than yes it could have caused it. All the sweat and dirt comes out of your body and if you dont take a shower it just stays on your skin. I used Benzaclyne for maybe 2 weeks if that and my face cleared right up!! it's a small jar but a little diffidently goes a long way. You shouldn't have to see a dermatologist for it, I got it from my regular physician.

What I use is tea tree oil.

It also heals the acne I do have and prevents new eruptions.

I would say leave them alone %26amp; they will go away by their selves but if your like me its so hard to leave them alone so do it the safe way. Put a warm wash cloth over the whiteheads for about 30 seconds %26amp; then get 2 Q-tips %26amp; squeeze them until blood starts coming out %26amp; then stop %26amp; put on a dab of neosporin or an acne cream....I hope this helps! i woke up this morning with lots of tiny whiteheads on my chin and they itch like crazy! It has gone to the point where I want to scratch them like crazy! but i know shouldn't. A warm flannel will ease the itching. I reccomend trying to avoid scratching if you can but if i gets too much its ok to scratch gently. Dont burst them though they can leave nasty holes.

I have the same problem and I had microdermabrasion done. It gets rid of it but expect a few bad pimples a day or two after. I would suggest a chemical peel also. I have oily skin and it helped with that. It stings for a second but the person I go to gives me a fan and it makes the sting go away. I hope it helps :)

My suggestion PROBABLY won't work overnight, but it works really good over time...try Neutrogena's fresh foaming cleanser and wash ur face every morning and every night B4 u go to bed...it only works on some people, but if u want 2 experiment go ahead...

-if you can go out and buy it, its about 8$, try neutrogena spot treatment. and just put it on your effected areas before bed. the product promises results in 8 hours. its the only spot treatment i use
-wash your pillowcase
-keep your hair away from your face when your sleeping. pin your bangs back so it wont get on your face
- after working out or gym class, since your sweating, try to wash your face as soon as possible.

Have you tried Proactive yet? It is excellent. It worked for all my kids. If that doesn't work then I would go to a Dermatologist and they will give you a prescription. The doctor will also be able to tell you if it is really pimples or not because sometimes it can be some form of staph infections that look like pimples. Good luck to you! I know how devastating it can be to have acne.
