Do NOT squeeze, unless you love big puss filled infections.
In the morning, take a warm shower. Wet your face first. Then wash your body and whatever and save your face for last. Your pores will have opened by then and you can use a wash cloth to rub your nose (firmly but gently) and you'll get a lot of them out.
You can then use a 6 water to 1 white vinegar mix and dab your nose. It'll help keep white head free during the day, though you might need to repeat every so many hours.
It's not a perfect solution, but it is effective and not dangerous.
Tea tree oil is very strong and very toxic. Don't swallow it or leave it out where anyone can eat it. Even small amounts can be fatal. It's a powerful antiseptic and will kill most anything it comes into contact with. I'd say the jury is still out on whether it is damaging to you once it gets absorbed by your skin. Help! how to get rid of whiteheads on the side of my nose and under my lower lip?
they're tiny, but there are quite a few
and they absolutely will not go away!!! it has been about a year and a half since i first got them.

Well...what I learned, the slow and painful way, was to never ever touch them. If you pop them, chances are you're also squeezing some of the pus into your skin, which 1. may cause infection, 2. will cause further eruptions, 3. will scar. For quickies, I usually get a salicylic acid based spot treat-er, such as Neutrogena, and the like. And if you haven't seen a dermatologist, that might be a good way to go. I have horribly sensitive, acne-prone skin, and I'm always under stress as a college student, but I use a topical cream, Differin, and it works wonders, alongside Neutrogena Acne scrub, and Cetaphil, which helps calm my skin. Ask your doctor, eat healthy, and live a balanced lifestyle :]

6. if when you start picking at it and it doesnt pop right away then stop cuz those give you the scabs

Use a ';microdermabrasion'; treatment. Basically an exfoliating facial scrud. Origns has an amazing one called Modern friction. I love it. It helps get rid of dead skin and blackheads for a start. It also helps tighten pores. Another thing is to cleanse cleanse cleanse. Try to get in the habit of washing your face twice a day, morn and night. Toner is great too. Witch hazel works as a great toner to tighten pores also. Tight pores make the face less oily, thus, less skin flare ups and problems.

1/3 sugar
2/3 soap (only shaved from a bar of soap)
Add only enough water so as to get it to stick together, but still be hard enough to make it into a ball (should only be the smallest amount)
Flatten it over the pimple, put a cotton bud over the top and then a bandaid... Do this overnight
By the morning when you take it off the sugar soap will have drawn all the puss / gross stuff out of your skin
The fastest way to get rid of pimples (as fast as overnight) and preventing break-outs (when they are still really small) is to apply Hirudoid cream. It's amazing how it controls the redness of the pimple and prevents them from growing into horrible zits.
The cream is also great for preventing pimple scars from developing when it is applied while the scars are still fresh.
There is this Clearasil scrub that I have been using the passed week and it seems to be working pretty well. I dont think it was more than about $5.
You really don't have to have allot of money to have a good regime, just keep your skin clean, soap and water is just as good as any fancy lotion or potion, and an inexpensive moisturiser will do the job just as well, the other thing to remember is don't keep touching your spots it just transfers the bacteria to other areas......good luck

all you have to do to clear up pimples is take an egg and beat it up in a bowl,then rub it on your face and leave it for 30 minutes a day.Wash it off with soap and water,and you will have clear skin in about a week. also brush your teeth with peroxide 3 times a week for whiter teeth..
Use unscented soap, Do not use soap with fragrance.Try mixing baking soda with soap,and wash daily with it.
For your face, remember to use a mild soap, or one made for oily skin. A clean face will make it hard for pimples and whiteheads to get a hold. You can use an astringent, such as witch hazel after washing to eliminate open pores and to help in killing any bacteria that soap has missed. Never rub your face too hard while washing, it can make pimples spread. Use warm water to wash, and cooler water to rinse.
About once a week you can apply a hot wet washcloth to your face, this will help open up the pores to release dirt and oil, and may help to drain the whiteheads, as the heat will help them to pop without causing unsightly scarring.
As far as dark skin under your arms, it needs moisturizing. Dove makes a moisturizing antiperspirant that would be just what you need. Hopefully a local store carries it there.

The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.
Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.
However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.
If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.
If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.
The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

To pop or not to pop whiteheads?

You can pop a whitehead, but you have to do it correctly.
1) Take a safety pin and poke a hole, or two, in it.
2) Squeeze. (To be even more technical about it, you have to sort of get under the pimple and then squeeze. But that's hard to explain via typing. LOL.)
Here's why you shouldn't pop a whitehead (this is if you do it wrong):
If you don't pop a hole in it first, the pressure from the squeezing will actually force some of the bacteria back down into your skin. Sometimes, ultimately, scarring your skin.
Does that make sense? You need to make a hole for the pus to escape easily.

just pop it enough for the white stuff to come out and when its mostly or all out, immediatley put a gel spot treatment, like neutrogen on it and rub it in.
let it dry b4 you put makeup on it.
it does not scar always. sometimes it might but you can get medrema or green tea scar remover.
the reason you shouldn't pop them is because of all the bacteria.
If u want to pop it cause I mean its not exactly attractive be real easy cause yes it is true that u could cause a scar, but if u want to pop it make sure you wash your hands and sanatize them, and after you pop it rub some hand sanatizer on that area.

Is anyone one else out there offended by the advertisement running that shows the pussy, whiteheads?
That advertisement is offensive to me. I am having trouble working with on my email while constantly having a closeup look at someone's whiteheads. It's disgusting to look at, and it doesn't stop. It's there over and over. I have had to tape a piece of paper over the right side of my screen to even work on my email. I emailed Yahoo and expressed my opinion and was told that they have no control over what their advertisers put on the screen, and the advertisers pay the bills. What do they mean they have no control over what their advertisers put in the ads on Yahoo? What's next? Are they going to start popping whiteheads all over the screen? That ad is just plain gross, and that is all there is to it. They obviously don't give a tinker's damn what I think, but maybe if enough people express an opinion, they might think about being more selective about their advertising. Please, if that advertisement is offensive to you, email customer service and tell them.

I wouldn't use anything just yet. Just make sure she has better hygene. Proactive sucks, once you stop using it you break out so you have to keep buying it if you want half decent skin. I would say oxy pads work best, and you can buy it to suit your skin type. Better hygiene?
I think that the above products are expensive and also would be going to the extreme at her age. First do this, go to www.notaquitter.com and get them to deliver you some Silver Cream. It is the best 100% natural antibacterial agent know. Tr yand get her to keep her face as clean as possible during the day and use the cream at night. It really is the best kept secret in natural treatment of acne.
try simple things such as daily face wash. then once it gets more serious, turn to a dermatologist.
no i use proactive myself i don't think it could hurt. i would use proactive for her.
I don't know about Cetaphil, but I would guess that Proactive would be quite harsh. The active ingredient in proactive is Benzyl peroxide which is effective against the bacteria that causes acne (Propionibacterium acnes), so better for active pustular infections (i.e. a pimple with pus). Whiteheads and blackheads are a result of dirt and oil being trapped under the skin that can't reach the surface. Your best best would be an exfoliant to start with. Not soemthing like apricot scrub or anything with ';nut pieces'; or ground up shells because they actually scratch the upper layer of skin off and can cause more irritation.
Or you can se creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) that will clear away any dead skin cells, and helps in unclogging the pores to remove whiteheads, it's like an exfoliant cream.
I've used both of these regularly for my blackheads (which are whiteheads exposed to the surface of the skin so they can oxidize and turn from white to black) and my face has cleared up substantially.
Make sure these 'bumps' are whiteheads because there are white bumps that can occur (mostly) around the eyes that are called milia, which again is cause by a blockage. They are dead skin cells and oil caught under the skin, but they aren't acne related. They can't be removed with products. A trained professional (esthetician) can remove these.
I get my products from a spa/salon and they work MUCH better than drugstore products and you'd be surprised that the price point is very similar (sometimes less) than department store products, but yes, they are more expensive than most drugstore products. You can also talk to a Liscensed ethetician(depending on where you live, not all estheticians are liscensed) or your doctor for more information.
i would ask her pediatrician or a dermatologist before using any products on your daughter's face. i would think that just a mild soap and a wash cloth would be fine.
I wouldn't use Proactiv but would recommend Cetaphil or Aveeno. They are more natural and a little easier on the skin.
Or you might make an appt with a Dermatologist to have it checked out. It may be something other than acne and he/she may suggest something different.

I would see a dermatologist. But cetaphil is on no way harsh I've used it for years and my kids do also. the trick is to pure it in your hands and then wash your face with your hands because your hands are smooth they wont irritate your skin, a rag will. Splash your face with cool water and pat dry. I am 32 years old and do this everyday. I donot have acne scars I do get light bumps at times like anyone else. I'll make a little paste of baking soda and water, dab it on the spot before bed and its usally smaller if almost gone the next day

There is a product called SAL-AC and it might be a bit drying at first,but agood moistuizer is the key to stopping that. SAL-AC is 2 % Salicylic Acid which is much better than benzoyl peroxide especially for such young skin. This product can be used on your body as well and if you sweat it does not seep out of your pores and stain clothing. Benzoyl peroxide alone will discolor the collar of her shirt if she washes her face and neck and leaves the shirt on..even if she is careful and dries well.it will also bleach her eyebrows white and after a while the pigmentation gives up and they stay that way..I know,it happened to me. Try Sal-Ac with a good hypallergenic moisturizer like Cetaphil only use it once every other day so as not to dry her out to much..also use sunscreen on her face when using it. I wouldn't use anything just yet. Just make sure she has better hygene. Proactive sucks, once you stop using it you break out so you have to keep buying it if you want half decent skin. I would say oxy pads work best, and you can buy it to suit your skin type. But talk to a doctor first, you dont want to be doing anything wrong.My daughter is 7 and beginning to get whiteheads on her face. Would Cetaphill or Proactive be too harsh?

I don't know about Cetaphil, but I would guess that Proactive would be quite harsh. The active ingredient in proactive is Benzyl peroxide which is effective against the bacteria that causes acne (Propionibacterium acnes), so better for active pustular infections (i.e. a pimple with pus). Whiteheads and blackheads are a result of dirt and oil being trapped under the skin that can't reach the surface. Your best best would be an exfoliant to start with. Not soemthing like apricot scrub or anything with ';nut pieces'; or ground up shells because they actually scratch the upper layer of skin off and can cause more irritation.
Or you can se creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) that will clear away any dead skin cells, and helps in unclogging the pores to remove whiteheads, it's like an exfoliant cream.
I've used both of these regularly for my blackheads (which are whiteheads exposed to the surface of the skin so they can oxidize and turn from white to black) and my face has cleared up substantially.
Make sure these 'bumps' are whiteheads because there are white bumps that can occur (mostly) around the eyes that are called milia, which again is cause by a blockage. They are dead skin cells and oil caught under the skin, but they aren't acne related. They can't be removed with products. A trained professional (esthetician) can remove these.
I get my products from a spa/salon and they work MUCH better than drugstore products and you'd be surprised that the price point is very similar (sometimes less) than department store products, but yes, they are more expensive than most drugstore products. You can also talk to a Liscensed ethetician(depending on where you live, not all estheticians are liscensed) or your doctor for more information.
i would ask her pediatrician or a dermatologist before using any products on your daughter's face. i would think that just a mild soap and a wash cloth would be fine.
I wouldn't use Proactiv but would recommend Cetaphil or Aveeno. They are more natural and a little easier on the skin.
Or you might make an appt with a Dermatologist to have it checked out. It may be something other than acne and he/she may suggest something different.

But cetaphil is on no way harsh I've used it for years and my kids do also. the trick is to pure it in your hands and then wash your face with your hands because your hands are smooth they wont irritate your skin, a rag will. Splash your face with cool water and pat dry. I am 32 years old and do this everyday. I donot have acne scars I do get light bumps at times like anyone else. I'll make a little paste of baking soda and water, dab it on the spot before bed and its usally smaller if almost gone the next day

A whitehead can be best removed by steaming the face for 1-2 minutes. When the whiteheads in the pores have Softened, prick the apex with a clean sterilized needle. They very gently press it out with your two fingers keeping them on either side of the whitehead and gently putting pressure on it. Another way to remove whiteheads is to take shavings of baby soap and mix in table salt. Take a wet and soft face brush, dip in the mixture and very gently rub in the portions having white heads with the brush for a couple of minutes. Then wash off after a few rubbings. The whiteheads can be removed by gently pressing them out. But never let your fingernails press the skin and never squeeze the skin. This can cause scars and broken veins.

The products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.
Personally, Proactive didn't work for me. I have been using Biore products for over a year and I hardly ever break out! Occasionally I will get one or two, but nothing bad. I use Biore Ice Cleanser for acne and Biore warming facial scrub every morning for blackheads (This stuff works. I notcied a DRASTIC diffrence in my blackeads being GONE within 2 weeks) . And then 3-4 day s a week I use Biore purging pore cream scrub. For body acne I use Neutrogena acne body wash I never break out on my body. It gets 110 in summer so sweat in inevitably, yet I never break out. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working! Good Luck!

I had the same problem because of some digestive problems, and after I solved that out it disappeared.An external treatment can solve the problem temporally, but u should try to find if there isn't any internal problem.And if inside is everything OK, external I have used some ointments based on azelaic acid ( I had an ointment named Skinoren) or a solution named Zineryt(erythromycinum + zinci acetas dihydr)...hope I have been help full!

me and friends always have problems with black heads and white heads okay so hears what you do take some baking soda and mix with a little water put on the problem areas wash off when dry and that should do the trick you can use up to two times in a row any more than that and it will dry your skin
get that blackhead eraser..lol...and for the whiteheads..if you can you should get mario badescu's drying lotion..Its a little expencive..but it works overnight..and it works soooooooooooo well!!! even if you cant get it by the first day..you should get it anyway..because you wont have pimples..until you run out of this stuff..lol

I have seen the commercials and went on the site for the Murad Acne Complex solution, and I'm interested in knowing whether it also works on mild acne such as whiteheads. I've had whiteheads on my cheeks for a pretty long time, and now that's it's winter, they seem to be getting worse since my skin is getting dryer. The esthetician will be trained on a lance, and in some states you have to be a nurse to use a lance, but that is the only way to get rid of these types of whiteheads. Once you have them removed, try and use a glycolic acid face wash, it will keep them from coming back so often.

Morning and night is usually a good routine. You will notice a big difference within days. Mary Kay has a really good TEEN line for facial care..but then again..so do the stores. Look for a product that doesn't have ALCOHOL as the first ingredient and you should be fine. Also..a good peel off mask will help too.

What I do is really simple. Take a clean wash rag, douse it with steaming hot water, then lie it on your face. Leave it there about a few minutes. You can lie down on your bed or whatever, it doesn't take long. Then splash off your face with warm water, using your finger tips to get all the oils off. Lastly, splash with cool water to close up the pores.
Do this every night or so before bed. It should clear up. Also, try scrubbing the areas gently with a warm wash rag in circular motions. Black heads and white heads are just areas that need to open up, blockages. A warm rag will open these areas up... then wash it all away. Well i have a couple of things that are guarinteed to work. they were even tested and shown to improve your acne. Try putting apple cider vinigar on them keep it there for like 15 minutes then wash it off. I saw that in a dr. donihue collum in the news paper. Something else that works it putting a pea sized dab of tooth paiste on each pimple and keeping it there for 15 minutes then washing it off. I saw that in a cosmo magazine. these remedies sre much cheaper then buying proactive or some other face product and thier proven to work
use bacticine..put a little on a cottonball and constantly wipe the area with it....some people say using toothpaste on a pimple will make it go away...it hasnt worked for me but the bacticine works for me..and since i have oily skin..i wipe my face once in a while with acne cleanser..or when its at the oilyest i put a little rubbing alcohol on acne prone areas like my forehead...dont let anything go in ur eyes tho

MD Forte is a product like a moisturizer that you put on after washing your face. To wash, I use a product like Cetaphil and mix in these sand-like crystals I got from the woman who does my facials. I would recommend investing in some of the MD Forte for sure, but getting a facial just to clear out what your skin is currently harboring. 1. Dabbing tea tree oil on the affected area.
2. Making as mask of honey, preferably raw honey, b/c it has antibacterial properties.
3. Crushing an aspririn and using a little water to make a paste for spot treating.
4. Using a toner made of diluted apple cider vinegar and water. It will smell at first, but not when your face dries.
Also, check your diet. It is a myth that bad foods cause acne, however, an inadequate diet of the healthy foods is not going to do your skin any good. Up your fruit and veggie intake and drink a lot of water. Water is needed to carry toxins out of the body so that they don't show up on your face.
Try ORIGINS Modernfriction For The Body. I have the same problem. This stuff is great...u see results immediately and no harsh chemicals. The other good thing is that u don't have to use alot or use it every day. This works for the body best, but I use it on my face once in a while too. For your case, also try ORIGINS- Never A Dull Moment. No harsh ingredients either. BOTH of these are the best!!

Use a cotton pad rather than a tissue because it is less irritating. Removing eye make-up will prevent it from entering the eyelid and causing irritation.
Beware of bacteria. Speaking of eye make-up鈥o not use mascara or any other eye product that is older than a few months. Bacteria that have grown in the make-up would love a new home in your eyes, and will cause your eyelids to swell. Place slices of cucumber, potatoes, or apple over the puffy eyelids for 10-15 minutes. Potatoes will reduce dark circles under the eyes and apples have pectin which aids in anti-oxidation.
Give your eyes a salt bath by soaking cotton pads in a saline solution or a solution of one teaspoon of salt in one pint of hot water. Place the pads on your puffy eyelids for a few minutes.
